Christopher Spalding I think I may have seen these guys a few times in the past. Looking forward to hearing these songs again...mainly because I lost all of my cassette tapes during one of my moves. See you in July!

SLEEPER was recorded in a few days in 1990, rough mixed, and then lost for three decades. In 2019, the master tapes were found, remastered and self-released. Cover photo by Christopher Green.

POST-PUNK SURF GOTH ROCK from Cape Cod, MA
TRIPP LULLABY was an alternative rock band in the days it was called "college rock". In fact, singer / guitarist Erik Carter was a DJ at 90.7 WKKL at Cape Cod Community College where he met guitarist Eric Short, who had been playing his original songs, with drummer David Silver, since they got their first instruments and started writing and recording at age 14. Bass player Patrick Campbell is always drawing, and his art covered the band’s T-shirts and mix tapes (and free flyers from the copy shop.)

With no other outlet for original, genre-bending music, the band followed in the DIY-steps of hometown heroes The Freeze: renting halls, booking all-ages shows, running the door, the lights, the sound, making and selling merch, shooting videos, making posters, and promoting local and touring bands.

Tripp Lullaby played all over New England with bands like House Of Whipcord, Seven Seconds, The Freeze, Straw Dogs, Green Day, Form Alex, The Brood, Bob Evans, Arc Of Violets, 7 League Boots, Green Magnet School, Curtain Society, Incredible Casuals. These were great shows with a great scene of friends, fans, and bands, and we appreciate your support!

ERIC SHORT was also guitarist in Space Pussy and still plays music 5 nights a week on Cape Cod. ERIK CARTER released several albums with Mumble and Peg and still uses his DIY skills running Uncle Booking agency. PATRICK CAMPBELL also played in Vic Firecracker and still has a pen in hand drawing storyboards for TV and film. DAVID SILVER drums with Afuma and Season to Risk and is a video director.

30 Years: 1989-2019
SPECIAL THANKS to Chris Spalding who drummed live with the band and on the first round of demos; Dave Verkade who climbed broken ladders to volunteer crazy light shows; Chris Blood who sometimes ran sound, and who invited us to his home recording studio to record SLEEPER, which was never released UNTIL NOW. Thanks to you for your download!
